Although Luz is surprised to finally meet King's father, she ponders where they are and how it is possible.

“The Owl House” helped its audience feel seen and told them that “nobody should be punished for who they are.” It’s time the rest of the world listens. Television alone cannot make the world a better place, especially for the young people directly affected by the right-wing crusade against the queer and trans community. But these young audiences are the ones that most need to see that their stories matter. And they should be able to see themselves as the heroes in these stories without having to compromise who they are.
In 2021, The Owl House was the recipient of the coveted Peabody Award, praised for "building a wildly inventive other world that makes room for everyone." The Collector asks Eda where Luz went, only for Eda to ask the Collector to stand back as she transforms into an enhanced form of the Owl Beast. Together, the enraged duo launches a combined assault on Belos' avatar. Taken aback by the fight, the Collector loses grip of the light particle in his hand, and it floats away.
All three below realize who this is, and Eda makes a comment to King that he really does have tall genes (another call-back). King’s dad flies away into the distance, and Luz falls to the ground, being caught by King and Eda. On the ground, an eldritch forest of mold and decay has spread across the isles. Luz, Eda, King, and the Collector fly above and see it's originating from Belos' castle, which has been consumed by the mold. The castle then reconstructs into a monstrous dragon-like avatar of Belos, who proclaims he will cleanse the Boiling Isles once and for all and unleashes blue fire across the land.
He leads Raine, Lilith, and Hooty to the heart where the castle used to be. In its place is now the University of Wild Magic, run by Eda as the headmaster with Gus overseeing a human exchange program. In a narration by Luz, following the battle, the Collector restores everyone to normal, the kids reuniting with their families and loved ones.
